They're acknowledging that people who use the label "free thinker" are non-theists. In their twisted reality, that makes them agents of the devil. They are also being honest, because they're admitting that religion does not let you think for yourself. We should encourage such honesty, it highlights one of the problems of faith that religion ignores.
