Deep down, you know it to be true. Just accept that there is too much evidence to be ignored.
Don't worry Joop you will meet Him soon enough ;-)
@kOrsan - but my point was - and it's even stronger now, than then - what kind of dementia does an entity have to suffer from, to do that?
@Farhan - maybe I did misunderstand it (it's on the previous page, and I can't see it at the moment) - you're right, I don't know that another person has proof or not, and I didn't intend to claim I did - if you read that into my post, then I should have worded it differently. What I AM saying, is that if he believes he has proof, and if he wants ME to believe as well, then it's his responsibility to show me that proof; if he has proof and doesn't want me to believe as well, then of course he's welcome to keep it to himself and we'll get along just fine.

I don't get this argument. I thought a good number of us was once part of a religion. I was, and I believed it for quite a while. I can confidently say that there is no proof of a god or jesus coming back to life. They're convinced that their faith is all the proof they need.
YOW! LOL! I actually thought that this was a post from a poser until the last part!
I like! I like! :)
You would think that if 'Jesus' could turn water into wine, and loaves to fishes, that he would include, in the supposed operating manual, the procedures for doing so. Could go along ways to reducing hunger.
Tolkien and C.S. Lewis, his friend, were Christians, who included Christian allegories in their books, so the resemblance was intentional. Since finding that out, I like their works much less...
As to Jesus teaching the mere mortals how to turn water into wine, or stones into fish, then that wouldn't be a miracle. After all, people will have treasure in heaven, do not live by bread alone, et cetera. You'll have pie in the sky when you die, as the Wobblies said.
Hellz to the Yes
@James Cox - RE: "Could go along ways to reducing hunger."
Michael's right - where would David Copperfield find work if everybody could make the Statue of Liberty disappear?
