Just as Political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable the media's phrasing and mislabelling is pure propaganda.

If your enemy defends itself they aren't freedom fighters, they're "insurgents". Bombs are "I.E.D.s" despite the fact they aren't improvised. Your dead are "the fallen". Countries who don't tow the American line become "the Axis of Evil". If your enemy pays private soldiers they're mercenaries. If you do they're "private Contractors". and of course doing half a job becomes "Mission Accomplished"
