Yes, but how quickly we forget what that "Dash" was worth - - - - & just get on with our own lives.  We are all so wrapped up in our own lives, that we soon forget to think about another's "Dash".

Either ends, before and after the 'dash', are the horizons of the stratigraphy of our lives. The details rest between, but sadly like fossils, much can be lost to proccesses in nature we are not issolated from. I really love 'The Time Machine', it can keep everything in perspective.
