a fourth grade science test from a private school a South Carolina .. the kid got an A+ .. what would be your reaction if that was your kid??
I predict that child does not have a promising career as a scientist..
I think the teacher needs to go back to school and get his/her head out of his/her butt.
i cry on the inside that there is another child that will most likely grow up and live their life in such a high degree of ignorance of the world in which they live
Is this real? It looks like a joke.
The most offensive part is that it's true or false on such an obvious question. True or false questions are only useful on a complicated question -- "When you mix hydrogen with bigscientificnamium gas, fluoride is one of the by-products. True or false?" To ask a child, "True or false, is the earth millions of years old?" isn't testing, it's forcing them to sign a loyalty pledge. A statement of belief.
Can you imagine what an atheist quiz like this would look like?
True or false: Adam and Eve never existed.
True or false: People evolved from simpler forms of life.
True or false: Bible stories are myths incompatible with modern science.
There is no such thing as creationist science.
But there is plenty of creationist nonsense.
I would have failed the test. :)
LOL me too, I have would failed it too
