Billions and billions of 'em!

You know Sagan disputed having said that "billions and billions" bit. Kinda funny.

Also, Universe Pie is YUM.

It really is kind of a funny story. Johnny Carson said the phrase first in a skit poking fun at the way Sagan emphasized the b in billions to clearly differentiate it from millions on Cosmos. Sagan later claimed the phrase as his own, in titular fashion for his final book.

As Oscar Wilde put it: Talent borrows, genius steals. Sagan said it, he just didn't say it first. ;)

I'm sure I heard Sagan say "billions and billions" billions of times.

The apple pie quote is the one thing I took away from the show.

Sadly my universe seems a little 'underdone', is it ok to use the 'ready made' universe, then start from scratch?

If I had a good recipe for a 'universe', is it ok to use metric, or english measures?

If I were to make more than one 'universe', do I need twice as much stuff?

Are there any 'hidden' ingredients?

Yes. You'll need twice as much 'nothing'.

I ;think we're starting to realize that "nothing" is a word with no use in cosmology. A box may be empty, but in order to have nothing in it, there has to be a container. What was the container into which the cosmos sprang.
