The ice cream is real. Your god is not.
I'm sure there are some Muslims who are good people, but not the majority. RE: Extremist Christians, when have you heard of a Christian, Jew, Hindi, Buddist or any other religion being a sucide bomber? Did you see the coverage of Muslim countries where thousands cheered after hearing about 9/11? Do you ever see Muslim leaders publically condeming the sucide bombers and asking them to stop or telling others to report anyone suspected of planning attacks? You ever hear of honor killings, killing women who dare to be seen with a man not her husband, killing girls for daring to get an education, or if a wife cheats she is murdered. Can you name a single instance of scientific accomplishment by Islam in the last 1000 years, no you cannot because there is none. Their entire existence is centered around their religion and subservience of women. When Western women enter their society they must adhere to their dress codes, yet when their women come into our society they don't comply with our codes and laws. I have the same lack of respect for all religions, they all try to force their beliefs on all of us.
Perhaps the Muslims living in western society are better than those living in the middle east. Extremist Christians have probably never done suicide bombing but they have bombed abortion clinics and things like that. I may have been too vague in my comment. Not EVERY faction known to mankind has extemists. I was wrong about that part. I don't think there is such thing as an extremist Buddihist. I have a lack of respect or all religions like you, but I do respect the people who believe in them, provided that they also respect me. Muslims do all of those things because of their religion, and it's not really their fault. Their parents brought them up to be Muslim. For them, there is absolutely NO deviating from the path. It is literally impossible, so they must do these things. I'm not saying it's right. I am just saying it's not exactly their fault. The Muslims in the western world who still do these things are inexcusable, but the ones in the middle east, while they are wrong and horrible, it's not really their decision. I just want some kind of peace.
@ Nessrrinn - ROTF. Thank you for posting this. I love it so much I am going to steal it. I hope you don't mind lol.
I don't understand what they are upset about.... is it blasphemy to write the name Allah? I fail to see how this could possibly be offensive.
While this was true, it only lasted a few hundred years for various reasons.
lol @ Chester :-D
I think the point Carroll made is that since that time, there hasn't been. Not there was never, but just not actively making contributions since that time. Neil notes this as well, with the point about Nobel Prize winners. And if they made so many advances in that short period of time which have obviously survived to today as you noted, how much have we lost because it did stop and that was all we were left with? It's a real shame.
One thing I was wondering is if the marks above the main script for Allah are significant. I mean it's so ridiculous to begin with, but if they are, you'd have to say the BK logo is the 'w' looking mark above lol, and the rest not really there at all.
I think they're trying too hard to find things to hate.
