I always quote that verse to Theists when they raise the subject of morality with me. Only once have I ever met one that knew which book of the bible the story is from and most don't believe it is in the bible until I show them - from my worn out KJV. It is also an easy verse number to remember and worth using in a debate. "What this Atheist seems to know the good book better than us!!"
Hey children have you heard the bible story about Baldy Locks and the 2 Bears. We can talk about absolute morality afterwards.

I'm always disgusted when I read this story. It also bothered me when god killed Uzzah for steadying the ark of the covenant when the oxen carrying it stumbled. Would he have rather Uzzah just let it fall? I guess biblical events like these are part of what killed religion for me. I realized I had higher moral standards than a supposedly perfect deity. So much for faith gifting humanity with morality. Love your neighbor, unless god commands you to slaughter him and take his virgin daughter as a wife.
