My brother, who grew up atheist by default--he wasn't really educated on it--converted to Xianity while in high school.  A few years ago he deconverted back, and he has commented many times on just how "small" the Xian worldview is.

To be sure some Xians accept the big, old universe and simply cite it as proof of the glory of gawd.  I can usually get along with them because at least they don't have to deny megashitloads of scientific evidence to hold their position.
