It's tough being an uncle at times because he can be so stubborn.

Yes, it started when I was trying to explain what Evolution WAS NOT to some creationists. They had come up with the usual “Why don’t we see Transitional fossils or monkey men if we descended from monkeys”. When I could not get the concept of mutations causing variations over long periods of time and realised I was wasting my energy I turned it around and told them that they were right, god did exist, Darwin was nuts and Evolution was “only a theory” (aaaagh not again!!) spread by the devil.
They were in my house so I printed of a picture of the Fronkey for them as proof that Evolution was wrong and modern science can be very dangerous when it plays at being god. Yes, you are correct and I am wrong. I told them that as I did not have the money to build a Creation Museum so I would buy a farm and raise Fronkeys. They left the house and never came back. I wonder why?? Now I have so many of them and feel so responsible for them!!! It has been a rough week as they accidently say the new Muppet movie through the window and the Alpha males who have inherited the stubborn gene are giving the evil eye to the Mr Ken Ham, the pink pig in the next field.
What they never grasp is that Evolution is a matter of understanding and never a matter of belief. Claiming that the Theory of Evolution does not explain how life began is like claiming that gravity does not explain why the Earth goes around the Sun. It only explains how life evolved and still does since it started.
