The Golden Rule states that you should do onto others as you would like others to do onto you.

Christians would like to believe that Jesus' invocation of the golden rule is unique and offers some special prescription for morality but virtually every religion and philosophy relating to how people should behave has incorporated the Golden Rule.

Note: Some of these are closer to the silver rule "At least do no harm."
