A church is a place of worship, usually for Christians. A church is used for many different things from preaching and teaching, baptizing, political advocacy, marriage ceremonies, helping the poor, and bingo. The word church may also refer to the group of people who worship there but typically the word congregation is used.
The building itself can range from very ornate (stained glass, gold, and paintings) to very simple and undecorated adequate enough to seat the congregation.
