How do you distinguish your washing machine or MP3 player from the crowds of other washing machines and MP3 players that perform as well at about the same price? Steve Jobs sure knew the answer: Good design.

Hey guys Check out my Gear Bag that makes TA run :]
A new book with a working title: Religion; A guide to pissing on it, and avoiding pissing on those you love.
Don't undertake a project unless it is manifestly important and nearly impossible.
Would you rather be a vampire or a werewolf?
Clearly a vampire. My interest goes back much much longer than this sudden teenybopper craze. But I don't like the idea of transforming in to a wolf... It sounds painful.
Will You Marry Me?
Why would I want to marry you? Actually I don't really see the point of marriage other than for tax purposes. If you love someone a ring doesn't make it more or less valid
Who would win in a fight: pirates or ninjas?
ninjas
What is your favorite flavor of particle in quantum physics? Mine is Charm ;)
Nice one, charmed quarks are quite interesting. My favorite flavor of quark is the strange, but I like the theoretical tachyon. It's implications are very controversial.

Why are you here?
To make a social network for people with like views with a clear mind.
Hey guys, since school has died down a little bit I have been able to do a little more thinking about how I became atheist. I would like to share my critical thinking moment with the rest of you so you can get to know me a bit more. Please feel free to share your own critical thinking moment that turned the tide or turned a light on for you.
I believe I was a junior in high school, and I was sitting in the psychology class with a teacher that, ironically, no one really respected. She happened to recommend a Web site that single handedly changed my life forever:
I can honestly say that I learned more from this Web site than I did in my high school and college career combined. As I navigated around their Web site, I fell upon an article about nano technology.
I learned about atoms, and how they are truly the building blocks of life. This was the true turning point that caused me to ask critical questions about everything, even religion (which I did not grow up with). This led me to ask bigger questions; questions with simple answers were simply not good enough.
At this time I still did not know what atheism even was, or that I had been one my whole life. I kept pushing myself deeper into science and technology; the only logical conclusion, without even thinking about it, was that religion is the biggest lie that mankind has ever told.
However, after a lot studying and research, I can see how humans easily fall prey to not thinking for themselves; it is far simpler to just nod one’s head and agree than to turn a page and fearlessly ask questions.
Fear, as we all know, is a natural instinctive process. Because of this fear, people will never understand, nor take the time to understand, nor become willing to ever truly understand why they fear the things they fear. But science goes beyond this simple natural instinct; it is the willingness to go beyond the simple non-answer "because I said so!" This is where science says, "fuck you! I’m not willing to take your bullshit any more… and here are the reasons why!"
Science is the most beautiful tool humans have ever contrived on our planet, and it should be treated with respect and allowed to answer our most pressing questions! :]
And that is the evolution of how I became atheist!
The religion you left
Was never a part of one
Think Atheist Travel Network Couch Availability - Are you able to host anyone now?
Hey, I just finished reading your short anthology Defend Yourself with Knowledge. Absolutely brilliant. I am writing a book now (no working title yet but it is an historical and comparative criticism of the NT), but I would love to perhaps work with you on a longer anthology like this one. My one complaint is that it was a bit short.
I have a question concerning the "Tell Hitch Your Story" invitation. Will my letter to Christopher be posted on your site? I am hoping that it is not. Would you please let me know either way? Thanks.
I'm a new member and I thought I make a suggestion to improve the site communication wise. It would be a lot easier to look back at replies, messages, and comments, if you could check'em in your inbox, rather than having to check your emails. Thanks.
Have you guys thought about doing any activism using the site name? I'm talking about anything from volunteering to protesting. It would be a great way to get the community here together and possibly boost the activity on the site. If so, I would interested in helping out. :)
Thanks for the shout out! That's really cool of you. I usually expect someone that runs a site like this to be too busy to socialize with the common member lol.
I have a Cannondale Six 6. It's a great bike and it's my first road bike. I used to race BMX and then got into managing a team but it was starting to get too hard on my knees. So i started a Cycling club at my college and now we go on 3 to 4 rides a week and train for some Century rides in the area.
I had a post that didn't get any hits at all and I figured i would just ask you now. Is there any talk of getting a smartphone app for TA? I think it would be a cool addition and make it easier to instantly respond and post. Just a thought, and again thanks for the great site I look forward to seeing it progress.
I was born long before the electronic revolution and I just have to say that without young people like you I'd be up a creek....KUDO'S FOR A JOB WELL DONE.
Hey Morgan.......I posted a comment to my own post. I cannot get the entire post to be displayed - there is no "more" button available. Wasn't there one available 2 weeks ago? Just wondering if something is wrong? Thanks man!
Just a note to say thanks for the podcast. The interviews are always enlightening.
I was also pleasantly surprised to hear of your considerations to the lives of the other animals on this planet. I have been a vegan for over 26 years now, and atheism played a large roll in my decision to do so.
My best to you,
and thanks again.

Morgan! I'm glad the site is still going strong. Looking to donate some money and maybe take home a bracelet or two. All I can find are hot pink, lol. Is that all you have at the moment? Thanks in advance. Take care!
I love the new Think Atheist bookstore! But I do have a request! One of the most excellent books on the historicity of Jesus is "The Incredible Shrinking Son of Man" and I really hope you guys will add it to your store!
I came across Think Atheist on Stumble Upon. I saw so many of the added photos were posted by you. Hilarious. Thanks for making my late night at work more bearable.
ps. I have a HUGE folder of copy and paste pics. Thanks!
Happy Birthday Sir. I hope that being one year older doesn't mean that your excellent work here will in any way diminish. Thanks for running one of my favourite sites on the Internet! In the words of my ancestors "mílebuíochas!!!"
Just an idea, do you think Think Atheist could do with an "Articles" section for the site? So members can discuss news articles related to religion and or atheism.
