About Me:

I struggle with depression and am in a relationship with a man who does as well. It's very difficult for us both and the stress is added because we want to help each other, but can't because we're depressed ourselves. It's not only putting a strain on us as individuals but it's beginning to put a strain on our relationship. I love him too much to let this kill us, so I'm here for whatever support I can get and to test this site out to see if I'm going to ask him to join with me. We need to do something or I fear something bad is going to happen to him, me, or us as a couple. We're both atheists so it's been difficult finding a support group that's not pro-religion. This might be the thing we've been looking for. This may save us.

Why are you here?

I am at a point in my life when I don't know what to do with my depression. It's reaching an overwhelming point and I need to do something no matter how small. As an atheist, it's difficult to find a support group for depression that doesn't shove "God" down your throat. This is perfect for me.

Had a hard time believing in it since I was little and once I actually started looking into things realized how insane religion in general is.
