Hi,i consider myself lucky to have found this group, and i'm glad i did so cheers i'm kind of new to this and still on an early stage as i'd like to think but i have a simple question (which could prove not be that simple) what about the future ? how should i live here like this ? am i supposed to live under a mask of Christianity ?or is leaving this country an option ?thanks ^_^
Aug 30, 2012
Fadi.. welcome to TA first of all and nice to have you here.. well it will take sometime struggling with "the future" and "what the fuck is wrong with these ppl" questions but you will eventually reach a solution that is suitable for you.. Leaving the country is always an option..:) it does help to find like minded ppl to hangout with as we got to discover over here, so you are most welcome to join anytime dude
Sep 3, 2012
thanks Mohamed for responding :)unfortunately i live no where near Cairo, and i'm pretty sure that like-minded people are a rare species over here .i don't know what to believe anymore
what about you ? how did you choose to live with this ? other than holding meetings with other atheists and when i said leaving the country i meant (refuge based on me being an atheist) and not by normal means because otherwise i'm stuck here :(

The number of new openly atheist/agnostic people at my school is increasing at an unbelievable rate. I no longer know whats happening around me.
Have they all decided to come out at once, or are those new atheists? Or maybe I'm just paying too much attention these days.
Forgive my paranoid tone, but it's not exactly easy seeing this happening in a school dominated by e5wan and salaf :/

@Nabil - as I mentioned in an earlier comment, a lady advisor to UN regarding the Islamic push to make criticizing Islam an international crime (her name escapes me, but it's in my original comment, along with a link to her article), says:
"on account of the new openness available through satellite, internet and mobile phone technologies, disillusioned Muslims are rejecting and leaving Islam in unprecedented numbers."
@archaeopteryx : thats a great thing :D
