I did some volunteer "work" for a genealogy site that's gone to a Ning network. Thought since I did all the code work for it already, I'd just paste in the 'help' and 'how-to' tutorials for my fine friends here on TA.
Some of these are things I'm sure many of you have figured out; but I'm hoping some will be of use.
I miss the old general discussions layout which looked more like a flow chart. Now the discussions are just one long list, much harder to flow through.
The problem is that about 40 people in the last 30 days only clicked on page 2 and only 11 clicked on page 3 of the forums. Hopefully this will give a quick glance at everything. If you still hate it in a weeks time let me know. Thanks for your feed back.
well I now see in your message the 'forum' now has two pages made up of only categories, but without indicating any discussions... I must confess I still prefer the previous system which was 'topic+3 threads" it informed about content and activity without clicking. I myself notice that with no glimpse at the actual activity, I am less likely to enter. but that's just me, and your usage stats may say otherwise :)

It would be neat to search within the discussion and see a quick summary of our posts... saving us from repeating ourselves :)

The best idea is to try searching a few keywords in order to try to find the video. For instance, though it's a video about Pascal's Wager, the title of the video doesn't say that. I searched "wrong" and found it on the second page of results.
