Robert, I've been thinking of organizing a group in this area, but I'm on a pretty tight schedule. There are, however, groups that meet-up all around this area already. You should check out www.meetup.com, and also http://mdfreethinkers.com/ The last one meets on the first and third Wednesday of the month, and I'm hoping to make it to one of those soon.
I live in Annapolis. Morgan Matthew, the site creator, lives here as well!
Wow , I'm only an hour away from the mastermind of Think Atheist =)
Thanks for the links , Cara - I've been meeting to get my lazy ass out to join those groups but they always seem to plan things on days I am busy !

We just had our latest meet-up last night and it was a lot of fun (check out the meeting minutes here).
We're planning our next event in November, and also our APOCALYPSE PARTY scheduled on the date the world is supposed to end, December 21, 2012. We'll be bringing non-perishable food items to either bunker down for the next few years until the fallout clears, or we'll be donating all of it to charity. We'll post more details as the date nears, but mark your calendars, plan to bring a can of soup with ya, and wear your survival gear!

Hello everyone! New member here. My name is Josh and I can't wait to be able to converse with like-minded free-thinkers.

Hi Josh :) Will you be joining us Monday for our meet-up?
Currently reading "God is not Great" by Christopher Hitchens. I highly recommend. My only complaint is that I'm "reading" it on CD and Hitchens, while an outstanding intellect and writer, is not a great narrator.
