Atheist Bible Study

Believers study the bible for inspiration, doctrine, etc.  Non-believers can study it to point out absurdity, contradiction, and other negative points, as a sort of "anti-apologetics." After all, lots of folks became atheists after they actually read the bible, and realized how ludicrous it is!

There is a third way to study the bible.  Treat it as a true history that has been exaggerated in parts, embellished in others and of course warped by the inclusion of god.  Take god out of it and you have a cracking read - a history of a distinctly dysfunctional family.  Read The Newer More English Version to see what the third way looks like.  http://www.amazon.com/Newer-More-English-Version-ebook/dp/B00CPL2P0...

    "Ur-hominid?" Hmm.

ur = primitive, original, or earliest.

hominid = a primate of a family ( Hominidae ) which includes humans and their fossil ancestors.

ur-hominid = the earliest primate of the human family.
