Live Like A Heathen, Die Like A Saint.

It is interesting that a creature such as ourselves could walk upon this earth for seventy or eighty years and live a narcissistic, self absorbed, hedonistic lifestyle and not a give a damn about anything or anyone and then, at the very end of things, express repentance and seek that divine forgiveness that grants everlasting life in the hereafter. If this is how it could truly work in a world where the supernatural actually existed it seems like you're being a sacred scoundrel of sorts. There is something incongruous about this proposition. You effectively can throw life's theistic rule book out the window and not worry about retrieving it until your last breathe. Wine, women, and song trumps prayer, fasting, and faith to the very end.
