Sigh* oh Benjamin...wait till I tell ur wife. Anyhow moving on....Can I suggest maybe a meet up some time in feb then? If ppl are interested that is? - the Looch ness monster
Oh fine guess i can't say no if you're all making effort as well.
Nope Stuart, missed you out (sorry)! I even know another Huddersfieldian who has yet to join TA, so we might get quite a group going now the numbers are building. No point being a bunch of miserable c*nts, after all :)
Thing is Jwan, on the plus side, I suppose that your story shows just how secular xmas is now...the guy wasn't concerned about lack of seasonal worship, and he didn't even entertain that you might not even have been a Christian. He was just thinking about boozing it up and presumably presents and food and the like. I suppose it's good sign of attitude change when you see cases like that. We're getting there slowly...
I like the lights (my parent's neighbour put up really good lights, the whole house glows !) and the holiday break, but my guess would be cause I was raised in a Muslim culture, where Christmas was not celebrated.I can relate more to New Year celebrations, because that was celebrated in a way, but even for that, I don't *think* I personally celebrate. There are no memes that I do on New Year. Each year is different, sometimes a meal out, sometimes a pizza order, sometimes a movie ... etc :)Maybe I really am a miserable cu*t lol
But one that loves the Truth. ;)
Jwan, you miserable c***. Why don't you celebrate Christmas?! I hope I was counted in the 4 Huddersfieldians :)
True but funny story.
I work part time in a shop in Marsh, and two days before Christmas one of our regular customers walks in, grabs his beers and said to me: " Are you ready for Christmas then? "
I smiled and said: " I do not celebrate Christmas :) "
He stood back a bit, did this weird thing with his eye brows and said " You're a miserable cu*t aren't you ! "
I was shocked lol but said " Erm .. thanks ! " :D
