When I had lived in Rock Springs 4 years ago I happened to pick up the Rocket Miner around christmas time. On the front page was an article by a local preacher saying that everyone HAS TO BELIEVE IN GOD AT CHRISTMAS. Of course I could not keep my opinion to myself. Basically I stated in my editorial that I am an atheist and do not believe in jesus or god. It was quite interesting with the response and one older lady that responded stated that I had ruined her christmas.

I hear every year around this time what to say. What I have decided I am going to say is "x-mas" instead of "christmas". What do you think?

I work at the Rocket-Miner currently and that is crazy that happened on the front page. That sort of stuff should be kept on the faith pages and  opinon pages. I am glad you wrote a letter to editorial though. I know the publisher there is an atheist so I'm glad for that.  I think Christmas is fine to say since you are not preaching about Christ with a word or Happy Holidays is even better since it can be any holiday. X-mas reminds me of X-men whenever I see the word. Hope you had good holidays though. I really need to check this site more often so sorry for the delay.
