I found this article at another site I go to.  Another reason to increase vegetable protein and decrease animal protein.   "The primary cause of osteoporosis is the high-protein diet most Americans consume today."  Drinking all that cow's milk is not good for you.

What about essential amino acids?

If you eat enough of a good variety of whole plant foods, then your amino acid/protein needs should be met. One of the best meals for a complete protein is a legume and a grain. Here are some combinations of plant proteins that will provide you with all of the amino acids you need:

•Grains plus legumes. Try black beans and rice.
•Nuts and seeds plus legumes. Lentil soup with a serving of almonds on the side.
•Corn plus legumes. Try pinto beans in a corn tortilla.
•Try whole grain pasta tossed with peas, almonds, and your favorite sauce.
•Whole wheat toast with peanut butter will give you a complete protein.
•Bean soup with whole grain crackers.
•Corn tortillas with refried beans and rice.
