Wonderful...I must try...is it possible to avoid oil too?
I have a few I have used:
Left Over Wild Rice and Herb Burgers:
1 cup left over rice
1 to 2 eggs
Mixed dried or fresh herbs(I use oregano, basil, parsley, garlic, pepper) about ~2 tbs, more the better.
1 tsp Hot pepper oil
Mix the above together till smooth, then add oatmeal till the smooth mix can be formed in your hand for a patty.
Fry in olive oil till brown, turn over a few times till done.
Poor Boys Fish Burger:
1 can of tuna fish
1/4 diced dill weed
1 tsp parmasan cheese powder
1/2 cup oatmeal for as much needed to form patty.
Fry till brown, turn over a few times till done. This can also be cooked in the microwave or as dumplings.
1 cup high glutin flour
1 cup soy bean flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp no MSG chicken boulion
Spices as desired, garlic, pepper, diced cheese...
Mix powder ingredients well. Add egg, then water slowly to mix ingredients to consistency of bread dow. Add additional soy or high glutin flour till it can be hand formed. Roll our pull away and make balls/sheets/patties. Fry or bake at about 325 degrees, these will rise like small biscuits. We like them with mushroom soup, sweet and sour sauce, sour cream, or rance dressing. A little weird but they can grow on you.
