Best in Show...Dry humor, nat I'd like a movie about dogs ;), soooo many memorable lines:

Sherri Ann Cabot: Leslie and I have an amazing relationship and it's very physical, he still pushes all my buttons. People say 'oh but he's so much older than you' and you know what, I'm the one having to push him away. We have so much in common, we both love soup and snow peas, we love the outdoors, and talking and not talking. We could not talk or talk forever and still find things to not talk about.
Buck Laughlin: I went to one of those obedience places once... it was all going well until they spilled hot candle wax on my private parts.

LIfe of Brian...Monty Python (duh!) and, of course, the sheer irreverence of it:

Wise Man #1: We were led by a star.
Brian's mother: Led by a bottle, more like.
Stan: It's every man's right to have babies if he wants them.
Reg: But you can't have babies.
Stan: Don't you oppress me.
Reg: Where's the fetus going to gestate? You going to keep it in a box?
Mrs. Big Nose: [trying to hear Jesus' sermon on the mount] Oh, it's blessed are the MEEK! Oh, I'm glad they're getting something, they have a hell of a time.
Reg: What Jesus fails to appreciate is that it's the meek who are the problem.
Pontius Pilate: He has a wife, you know. Do you know what she's called? She's called... Incontinentia. Incontinentia Buttocks.

My two favorite films are The Royal Tenenbaums and The Dreamers.
The Royal Tenenbaums is my favorite film because I loved the characters and the writing. Also, I think that it is Wes Anderson's best film.
The Dreamers is my second favorite film because I really liked the theme of escapism, and Bertolucci did a great job directing the actors so that the film seemed natural. Plus, a film has to be good if all the characters are atheists!
I liked The Royal Tenebaums, too! I've seen it several times. I'm glad you told us about The Dreamers; it sounds like a film worth seeing. I'm going to rent it on Netflix...Thanks, Aric!
Well, I don't know your stance on nudity, but if you are anti-nudity don't watch The Dreamers because there is quite a bit of nudity in the film. However, if you're ok with nudity then it's a great film.
No prob with nudity, since I know that God made all of us perfectly, including all of our naughty bits....hahaha...j/k. The only thing I have a prob with in movies is watching torture...can't stomach it. Thanks for the recommendation and the note of caution. Now I REALLY want to see it! ;)
I like the Royal Tennenbaums mainly cos of the music. Elliott Smith, Nick Drake, Velvet Underground... nice mix of songs. Really brought the pictures to life.
my two favs are 12 angry men I just love that movie it takes place in one room which means it better have a good story and it does and because its about Bias thinking and the green mile because it was the book that made me fall in love with reading again so when the movie came out I had to see it and I loved it and just to add one more thing I love all of the Star Trek Movies
I love 12 Angry Men as well. Have you seen the trailers for the new Star Trek movie?
Godfather (I and II) and Garden State. Garden State cos of the music, Godfather cos of everything else.
Garden State was great!
My all time fav film is Jesus Christ Superstar 2000 because to me, it is pure art in every aspect of the production. It also translates a live play into film well which is very, very rare.

I'm struggling with film number 2. I think I'll go with The Journey 1959 which totally captured me in a very kinky way. After watching it on the late, late show one night I began having such fantasies . . .

*purr*
The Princess Bride and The Princess Bride
1. “The Pianist” (2002) It became my favorite movie from first time i saw it. Its just such a moving story and Polanski recognizes that the story is powerful enough without romanticizing the victims or demonizing the, well, demons. I can watch it over and over again.

2. "Star Wars - The Empire Strikes Back"(1980)
Greatest Blockbuster Ever! I´ll never stop loving this one!
