This is a group dedicated to positive news around the globe. If you have good news to share, please do. Hopefully, we can all be encouraged in these trying times!
*and no, Jesus is NOT the "good news" I'm referring to.

When I learned about shark finning, and what it entailed, I was pretty upset. I don't even like sharks, but I know they're an integral part of the ocean's ecosystem... and they feel pain! Shark…Continue

Comment by Cara Coleen on December 20, 2010 at 9:11am Thanks for sharing everyone! Congrats Freddy, on being in the top 3! Also glad to see daycares taking a step towards NOT indoctrinating children. And Deb, your daughter's story encourages me personally because I have been in the service industry for too long myself. I'm working on my degree and cannot wait until I get into my career fields.
What a great way to start our morning! :D
Comment by Cara Coleen on December 19, 2010 at 11:38pm After searching Google for "good news", I came across a site dedicated to posting only good news. I felt my little weary spirit lifting at the mere prospect of reading stories that were good instead of bad and discouraging. I perused the titles and finally clicked on a link... that took me to a page directing me to subscribe... for as little as $2 a month. I can read articles on CNN, MSNBC, BBC, The Huffington Post, The New York Times, and even FOX News, for free. I can read bad news. For free. Apparently, inspiration is not always open-source.
Well, I decided that I could create group that would become a resource for stories that encourage! And if anyone ever needs a lift, they don't have to scour the Washington Post for a smidgen of goodness.
I don't care if your good news is your own personal achievement, your pet's safe-return after years missing, or an article you found that made you smile. I personally need a place to pick me up every once in a while...
