Rev Robertson of Scotland-
"As someone who believes in Truth, I have no problem facing challenges to what I believe. That is where the open-minded tolerance of Christianity is such a boon to our education system."
Not sure how to interpret that. Is he implying that schools with Christian roots are more open-minded to theories and this facilitates learning? Or, did he say that those in the secular world of public education should remain tolerate of all theories, such as creationism; even if they are unable to stand up to peer review and verification?
The K/T extinction event 65 mya marked the end of the Cretaceous period. The exact cause of it is not fully known but it was more than just climate change. It was likely to have been a meteorite strike which also caused serious volcanic activity. The ash cloud would have blocked out the sun and most of the plant life on Earth would have been wiped out. This would have prevented plant life from growing and therefore the bee population was all but wiped out. The same happened to the dinosaurs except for those that evolved into the birds we now see. Today I think that bee colony collapse is linked to pesticides. I recall hearing that there is a correlation between them. Sorry not the most scientific reply but something along those lines I reckon. Check this out for evidence of the K/T event and this for colony collapse.
