I get so sick of sci fi shows always being cancelled. It pisses me off even more when they end with an opening for future shows. Firefly is the first show that comes to mind when I think about this…Continue

Comment by M.M. on March 2, 2013 at 11:14pm Very excited to see the new Star Trek into Darkness film!
I am also happy to see Jar Jar Abrams is set to direct the new Star Wars film but sad he will not complete his Star Trek trilogy.
Maybe he can convince my favorite director David Fincher to direct the next Star Trek film. I doubt that would ever happen but it would be awesome!
Comment by Mike on December 15, 2011 at 10:37am As I watch the US continue it's digression from the bold experiment in representative democracy and back to an Aristocracy and feudalism I wonder how much of this is inevitable. Every time I hear the crowd cheer another example of brutality at a Republican debate that completely contradicts the very idea of America I wonder if it is just a more natural state of man. The reason I post it here is because a long time ago I remember reading the PJ Farmer series Riverworld. While I don't think the main theme is that the natural state of mankind is brutality and physical dominance of the many is that a side not of what Farmer was trying to say. That given a chance to start over, everything equal, even without metal to forge weapons, mankind will just naturally organize as a number of tribes ruled by the most savage and most brutal.
