Congressman doesn't know why oil is in Alaska if it has always been cold

Representative Joe Barton Missed Pangaea Day in Texas Science classes. Great reason religionists should step out of science and the dangers associated with it. Congressmen asking a poor leading question that is attempting to show that the North Pole wasn't always cold is absurd. Global warming is happening and you don't understand middle school science yet you make our decisions for us? Really? Anyone Surprised that he's from Waco?

I guess the jury's out on plate tectonics too. I wonder if the guy has any groundbreaking ideas in the fields of atom theory and heliocentrism.
