kyrsis, the jesus image that is depicted in the earliest roman catacomb walls is strongly resembling apollo as the new religion tried to present itself as a "update" in the same way it had with the jewish cults beforehand.

Knowing the church... if the FSM gained a stronger following... you would start to see a morphing if the icongraphy to include "christ" into the FSM in an attempt to co-opt the new "religion".
The same was done in certain parts of latin america the mixing of the christian and the pre-Columbian.

i actually have this book that was written mainly by desert dwelling bronze age goat herding nomads from between 3500 and 1900 years ago and it says that i am teh awesomest.... so, yeah. obviously you guys can't counter that. *hands out the collection plate*
