It take’s only about eight minutes for light to travel the 93 million miles from the surface of the sun to reach the earth . It’s a shame that it take’s many of us a lifetime to open our eyes so that we may see it. ~ J. Frost

When man dies, he doesn’t leave much behind. The flesh, the bones, everything that we visually associate with who that person is, it’s all gone. Ah, but the memories, they last forever. Or do they? Only the ones that have known this person in life will have those to cherish. But it’s the LEGACY that will truly keep a person from disappearing into obscurity, this is what we all should aspire to, this is what will keep us on earth amongst the living, for historians to revisit for eternity. ~ J. We must question the story logic of an all-knowing, all-powerful God, who creates faulty humans, then blames them for his own mistakes.

Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful.

In science, 'fact' can only mean 'confirmed to such a degree that it would be perverse to withhold provisional assent.' I suppose that apples might start to rise tomorrow, but the possibility does not merit equal time in physics classrooms.
            -- Stephen Jay Gould

Faith is a cop-out. If the only way you can accept an assertion is by faith, then you are conceding that it can’t be taken on its own merits.

Once upon a time a god; when he woke up, created a mirror, looked at it and realized it was getting late for work...
