When man dies, he doesn’t leave much behind. The flesh, the bones, everything that we visually associate with who that person is, it’s all gone. Ah, but the memories, they last forever. Or do they? Only the ones that have known this person in life will have those to cherish. But it’s the LEGACY that will truly keep a person from disappearing into obscurity, this is what we all should aspire to, this is what will keep us on earth amongst the living, for historians to revisit for eternity. ~ J. Frost 4/22/11

In science, 'fact' can only mean 'confirmed to such a degree that it would be perverse to withhold provisional assent.' I suppose that apples might start to rise tomorrow, but the possibility does not merit equal time in physics classrooms.

Faith is a cop-out. If the only way you can accept an assertion is by faith, then you are conceding that it can’t be taken on its own merits.

Once upon a time a god; when he woke up, created a mirror, looked at it and realized it was getting late for work...

When we long to believe that the stars rise & set for us, that we are the reason there is a Universe, does science do us a disservice in deflating our conceits ? Carl Sagan

Just because science has not figured something out, does not mean it is not being worked on. Can anyone say the same for theism?-Me
