But with regard to the natural world, we can at least go so far as this - we can perceive that events are brought about not by insulated interpositions of Divine power, exerted in each particular case, but by the establishment of general laws. - Whewell [From the opening page of "Origin of Species" - Quote Chosen by Charles Darwin]

The more you understand the world around you, the more you fill in the missing pieces, the less room you’ll find for inventing a god to explain the currently inexplicable. Knowledge is power.

"You believe in a book that has talking animals, wizards, witches, demons, sticks turning into snakes, burning bushes, food falling from the sky, people walking on water, and all sorts of magical, absurd and primitive stories, and you say that we are the ones that need help?"

- Mark Twain

If God is willing to prevent evil, but is not able to
Then He is not omnipotent.

If He is able, but not willing
Then He is malevolent.

If He is both able and willing
Then whence cometh evil?

If He is neither able nor willing
Then why call Him God?
