1 Million Strong Against our SOCIALIST Fire Departments

For too long now, fire departments across the United States have been SOCIALIST organizations, resulting in TAXES on the American people.
FACT: Most Americans never use the socialized services of the fire
department. We have the best fire departments in the world in the US,
but that doesn't mean that anyone (even non-US citizens) should be able
to dial up and have fires put out, etc. There are private companies
(Halliburtion, etc.) who could step in tomorrow and take over every
fire department in America and charge the consumer directly.
This is AMERICA. NO FREE FIRE SAFETY.

This is THE new political movement in America. The Birther movement and The
Teabagger movement have FAILED. We are The Flamer movement, and we are
succeeding at tearing down ALL forms Socialism - starting with our Fire
Departments.

Recently, in my former home state of Louisiana, the fire department arrived at a family's burning home, put out the flames (the home was a total loss by then), and gave the family a $32,000 bill for their services.
I told my cousin -- who still remains in Louisiana for some unholy reason -- that this was the most stupid idea to crawl across a politician's desk. My cousin -- whose sanity I have come to doubt because of his inability to admit that any liberal has ever at anytime in his or her life done a good deed -- insists that it a good idea because it will result in a tax cut.
I think he is watching Fox News again. -

Subscription only firefighting still exists.
Humane Society Condemns Subscription-Only Firefighters For Standing...
I wonder if they checked to see if any people were in the house before they let it burn down. The Dalles OR had tags at the front door of houses in the 1800's to let the fire department know if the fire fighting fee was paid. I thought the Chicago fire put an end to this. In this case if the neighbors house caught fire the insurance company probably would have a good case to have the fire department pay for the damages for letting the fire spread. -

For some reason people in the U.S. need to re-learn these awful lessons every so often--just like we are currently re-learning the lesson that Wall Street and the banks have to be closely regulated. In this past, this historical amnesia could be blamed squarely on our inadequate education system and its emphasis on religious indoctrination over education. Today we have to add corrupt corporate media to the list of culprits.
