I lived in Wexford and Allison Park from 00-09. A So Cal native and current resident, I am homesick for W PA, so I thought I'd join, just to keep up with that neck of the country.

I am an active member of Drinking Skeptically!  Been going for just over a year now, and have started organizing some spin off events, including Brunching Skeptically and a Science and Skepticism Book Group.  The first meeting of the book group will be in a couple weeks at the Kiva Han on Craig St.  We are reading Carl Sagan's Demon Haunted World.  (event link: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=159307390791736)   There is also a Pittsburgh Secular Freethinkers meeting at the Beehive once a month that I just started going to.  There really are plenty of us in Pittsburgh, we're just not always good at advertising.  Please come out to these events!  We're building an already flourishing community!

Anybody here participate in "Drinking Skeptically"? Apparently a group with Pittsburgh CFI meet every month at the Double Wide Grill, but for some reason I always have something spring up at the last minute...

Although I currently live in Metro-Detroit, I'm originally from the Pittsburgh area. Avid Steelers and Penguins fan. :)
