Some Facts:

- Buddhism is the second largest religion in Oregon, only one other state Hawaii can claim Buddhism as the second most popular religion.

- In a 2009 Gallup poll, Oregon ranked #1 of US states with the highest percentage of residents who were unaffiliated with any religion, at 24.6%.

- Oregon has a higher average of evangelical Christians than the national average.

- Oregonians who identify as christian seem to be more spread out among christian denominations.

That is pretty interesting. 

After living here for 12 years now, my experience correlates with those findings. Less religious people overall than my hometown in OC, CA, but there is a super-evangelical presence too. Just met a Buddhist who moved here as well. I think it's all the great nature and green green green.
