So, all this NaNoWriMo stuff is getting me all jazzed up about writing again. I don't ever expect to be published and have a best selling novel. However, I may get published still! I have heard of…Continue

Mario, it was easier than I thought. It's just that the output is not up to the standards that an author might like for a finished product. I think I was at 20K after the first 8 days. I had more trouble finding the time to sit down and get into a groove.

I'm writing a fantasy novel right now. My very first, but the idea for the world it's based on has been kicking around in my head since high school.

But man. 50,000 words in 30 days. I can barely break 10,000 in 30 days.

Woohoo! Congrats, Shine! I don't know how you did it with two term papers.

Damn. I don't want no asterisk next to this accomplishment. Tomorrow, I throw the whole cast off a cliff.

Congrats on finishing (kinda) Reggie.

Exactly. And it is the month for literary abandon! But just because you can, does that require you to? Why not just end it without an ending. Like "No Country for Old Men"?

Somebody keeps telling me that you have to "finish" the novel, too. I have seen nothing of the sort. I figure all my characters will fall of a cliff suddenly and die abruptly, mid-chapter sometime tomorrow evening, if that is the case. I need at least two chapters to do end it, I think.

Here is a cool site that analyzes your work ethic.

I liked the pie chart showing my progress divided by days of the week. Sundays I did my best work. Mondays and Fridays were the worst days.

w00t! Still have a chapter to go to finish the story, but it told me I was a winner already. Yay!
