Hey David, I tried to find you on Facebook was unsure who you were. Just saw your message about hanging out with people and interest in a dating site. These are a few things we have in the works behind the scenes and we also have fun meeting up at different places. Message me or join the Michigan group here: http://www.meetup.com/Atheist-Friend-Finder-in-Michigan/
I'm in the middle of setting something up on that side of Michigan and would love to hear some of your thoughts. :)
Hey David, I sent you an invite on FB. I know I am a bit younger than you, but you may be able to find solace in the having a friend that doesn't post about jesus every 2 days...
Hello, I joined Think Atheist just recently. I was online searching for a better class of friends. lol. Actually, that's exactly what I told my fellow atheist friend at work. I live in northern Michigan, in Gaylord. I do have a lot of friends, but I'm pretty much alone among them in my atheism. Having to tolerate constant god references, praises, and pleas for prayers on Facebook has gotten almost intolerable. I would love to start hanging out with people I don't have to bite my tongue with, for fear of laughing at them or offending them. Are there any meet-ups, functions, or even dating sites for those of us like-minded people?
Hello from N. lower Michigan! I am from a very small (minded) town, and I think it will be really great to have some fellow Michiganders who are more like-minded to chat with!
Hello from the UP. Im happy to find this site and group!
Thank you!
Elisha & all, check out the Michigan Secular Groups list! Detroit Coalition of Reason groups are in the Metro Detroit area. I think you'll find interesting gatherings near you!
