How does everyone feel about the idea of 'minors' living in our hypothetical commune?

I for one see this as something of a social experiment.

Because it would be considered an alternate lifestyle, I think that informed consent should have to be given.

Of course, I'm not a parent so I dunno.

I won't lie.

I'm not a huge lover of children. That might be a part of it.

The other part is an idea that children are a financial burden and I'd like contributing members. The more the merrier.

But again.. I don't have kids.

So let's discuss it here.

Why or why not? What do you think?

I like kids, but they are a pain for the first few years. very dependent on your care and time. Often you do not know what is wrong or how to fix the problem. they require constant supervision (in my book) and guidance. Are you asking if it is fair for some to have kids and expect the rest of us to take care of them? Definitely something that would have to be worked out.
