Getting atheist into local government.

A friend of mine and myself have been kicking around the idea of running for some minor local offices and trying to build some non-theist governance from the grass-roots up.

I guess I need to check into the process and red tape of getting on a ballet.

Athiest in this small shabby state? never going to happen. people in Indiana are so far up their asses its unmentionable. For christ sakes, Indiana belives in not having open religion conversations in school, but once i open my mouth to speak of athiesm, im the worst thing thats ever happend.

I would run for office on issues that pertain to the job. I wouldnt run on "I'm an atheist". Let that come out after you win ;)
