I have small children and one of them will start kindergarten this year and one will start preschool next year. I had a bit of trouble with taking our own food to the preschool my oldest went to last year, but they didn't really do any religious sort of stuff.

I am concerned that a prayer time will be in my daughter's kindergarten class. We don't have the money to pay for school and I don't know if family would help (they are all god-people) but I don't want my daughter being asked/made to help "pray" or whatever.

Pray? more like prey!
