Not much activity on the group lately, huh?

I'm in Warner Robins, myself. But it's close enough that it gets lumped in with Macon. :P

I get a bit excited whenever I meet a new skeptic from this area. It makes me feel like the intelligence is catching. :P

Hi wisp! Three months late replying to you, but I'm in Macon as well. There's about 4 of us from Macon on here, I think :)

Hello, I am a new member. I stumbled upon this site and it looked like something I had been looking for. It can be a little frustrating being an atheist in the South at times.

My name is Matthew Kite and I live in Mableton. It is a pleasure to meet you all.

Hi wisp, I live in Macon. Lizella to be exact. It is good to see someone else has some sense in my area :)

Ah nice... Georgia Atheists. I managed to join the Atheist Meet-Up group and even made it out to the November 22 meet-up at 5 Seasons Brewery on Roswell Rd in Sandy Springs. Anyone else here made it to that meet-up?

Hello everyone;

Were any of you affected by the flood we had?
Adam Sutler Comment by Adam Sutler on November 8, 2009 at 4:23pm
Thank you Dave,

No, my issues remain but that's my problem... mainly it's that I'm a pompous ass**** (fill in asterisks with your choice) that should have learned by now not to mix issues and alcohol. Ever had one of those morning after moments when you did the 'WTF did I say'?

On to more pertinent things, a meetup would be cool. And if I can paraphrase Galen below, if there is one positive thing that sets the South apart from the rest of the country it is food... good ole southern comfort food. A meetup like a 'church potluck social' would be great. Being an atheist doesn't mean you have to abandon all your roots, right? Just my 2¢.

Adam

This actually is a rather good site. I post rss threads from it. They do an excellent job of making "fundies" look completely ridiculous
