L I am so like that too! I find the overly judgmental just get me to want to throw eggs on them.  It's one thing for them to believe in something it's another to shove their beliefs on those that don't specifically share their thiughts

Oh Hey guys!

 

I'm late to the party.

 

Yeah my 20's were SUCH a waste. I'm still kinda bitter about it. When I was 28 I got divorced and already had 2 kids but I went on a bit of a "wild streak" while my kids were with their dad on the weekends. I feel So JIPPED out of growing up when I was "supposed to" I feel stuck in my 20's as well since I'm 31 and NEXT WEEK starting my first "real job" and gonna move out on my own without the "covering" of a parent or a husband.

 

My family is still mostly in the dark about my new beliefs. Only a few of my closest friends are in the know. They are the friends that are also like minded for the most part. At least open minded if they disagree with me. Once I am out of mom and dad's (couple months tops PLEASE *crossing fingers*) I plan to be a lot more open about it

 

I find myself VERY intolerant of judgemental religious types. I even yelled at a dude when i was doing Bay to Breakers. They disgust me and embarass me! I SHOULD have more grace for them since I was one of them once but I don't *shrug* Maybe someday I will, maybe someday i won't. Whatev...

 

So this guy was standing on the side of the road with a HUGE sign that talked about god vomiting luke warm christians out of his mouth and he was holding a bible and aving it around and screaming judgement on all these AWESOME people involved in this SAWEET race all happy go lucky and enjoying the culture and diversity. He yells out at one point "I know my wife like you can't know my wife and I know Jesus like you don't know jesus!" He continued but I interupted yelling back to him (very loudly) "Do you know Jesus like you know your wife??" As I was saying it I was thinking "OMFG Lisa WTF are you doing? Shut up!" He stopped and looked at me and said "oh yes young lady you keep talking. every idle word, sister, every idle word will be judged" I said "Are YOU judging me?" He points his pointly finger at me and spits as his angry red face screams "YES! I Am JUDGING YOU!" I. Was. LIVID! I said, "Oh, now YOU are GOD?!" hen there were yells from the crwd that was walking with me "You cant judge anybody" "Only god can judge" "Oh shut up old man" OMG I was buzzing with adreneline! I realized at that moment that I have NO tolerance for such BULLSHIT! If that were to happen with my family around. They'd learn REAL QUICK what my new beliefs were. C was SHOCKED that "too nice" timid Lisa had done such a thing.

 

So.... I think I'm caught up? :D

Abby, freezing eggs is freaking expensive!!!! :( that's a good idea. otherwise, i'm screwed. i thought about asking my parents for a loan to do it BUT i should probably wait til the economy is up a bit more. lol

I'm Like the other L in that we both had at least one kid before we started being in our twenties really. I didn't do frat parties I ran with a bit more..... ermmmm never gonna grow up style crowd and I had a lot of good things that happened while I was in that part of my late 20s but trying to match the two really has never felt comfortable for me.

Abby, 

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought I was a 30 yr old still in my 20's. I started college at 25, which meant I was going to frat parties at 25 and 26 which was a little old to start...but had to get it out. I feel like I have about 10 years left til I want kids, but now that I'm 30, I don't really have 10 years.

Firey, 

Same here. I was angry for awhile and now people think I'm "angry and bitter" but I'm actually the opposite. I almost feel bipolar cuz I have these episodes of happiness that are almost unnatural and not in a creepy "holy spirit" way. In a "i'm so fucking happy to be out of there" kind of way.

Ha! I think I'm less judgmental now - at least I hope I am. And don't get me wrong - I can totally be an ass hole. I think now I'm more open to who people are, where there at, vs what or who people *should be* according to a book or a religion...

I've definitely had my angry moments - I feel like I gave my youth to the cult/religion and I got nothing in return. Some day's I feel like I'm 'stuck' in my 20's when I should have my early 30's under control by now.

I think for a long time I was angry at the world because I felt so lied to.  Now days I am calming down.  There are many things that I would have blown up at the last year or two that I haven't

I'm more of an asshole now that I'm out. I was too nice before. Sort of like a kid who's got a mental problem.
