Welcome to Exmormon Atheists!

Leaving mormonism is hard, very hard. Those who have never been mormon don't understand how hard it is to leave. This group is to help those that are making that journey and have discovered in atheism what was promised in mormonism. That being, happiness, a sense of worth and so many other things were promised.

Very cool glad there's a group out here for this.  I left when I was 14 Just had to punch a bishop to get my point across.

Welcome, Claudio! Yup, leaving Mormonism has definitely been hard. Just so glad I got out before I had raised my kid in it! Yeah!

Hey folks, I'm new on this block. Leaving mormonism was certainly the hardest thing in my entire life. It's hard even nowadays as my father and sibblings are veeeery mormon yet and tend to not respect me at all. But overall I'm done with the psichological hinderings. It's good to be here with you guys. If there's anything I can help with, maybe a word or two to share, just let me know.

I was just getting ready to start a group like this when I found yours. Good job brailsmt. I'm glad to hear you are finding yourself and improving your quality of life. Just solidifying what you actually believe goes a long way in calming your mind. I spent most of my life in a psuedo-belief psuedo-ahteist internal turmoil, but recently my wife and I are really ironing out what we believe and why. It will come and it will feel great.

I know, the lingering doubt is a bit stronger than I am comfortable with. I remember your advice from last week when I had that really downer day, you told to watch my self-speak. I've really tried, and I have to say that I feel better. I also feel better that I didn't get drunk every night last week, like I've been known to do. I'm gonna hit the gym starting this week as well, and I have a bunch of salads to eat (I actually really like salad.) :)

This no god thing is great, no longer do I sit on my ass and wish god would fix me. I have to fix myself, and with great friends in the exmo community, I'm starting to at least feel like I can overcome some of this stuff...

WTF? When did this all become about me... lol
