I'm getting used to reading ebooks on my laptop. Serious authors aren't necessarily giving away their books for free. When my own KYLIE'S HEEL (atheist protagonist deals with major challenges) is set up as an ebook by my publisher, I'll let you all know. Right now seeking reviewers or anyone who knows of a good atheist book blogger. (paperback available now - but I figure even if you adore ebooks, you still read paper sometimes, right?)

Checking out ebooks from my local library is great. They return themselves! I gotta say I like DRM! My iPad is perfect for ebooks too! Now if they'll only add more books.

I recently ordered a Kobo at Borders. I'm wondering if anyone here has one and if that's the case if it's any good? I read a lot of good reviews but supposedly there were some problems reading pdf and some epubs. Some firmware issue that was being addressed. Anyways, I'm anxious to get it and start my reading once more.

You can download from Google Books if Full View is available. Previews won't work. I find that the titles available in Full View are often easier to download from a different site, so I've never downloaded from Google Books myself. Just search for "Download Google books" to find several ways of doing it.

Congratulations, now you're officially cool, unlike the e-readerless Reggie :P

You can find lots of free books atManybooks. For Sony books, Inkmesh will keep you up to date on free books as well. Hmm, I'm going to create a discussion with more links, will be far easier.

I spend an hour a day on the treadmill with my Sony Reader. I used to listen to music. But, I find reading while walking more fun then listening to music. I like, late 1800 and early 1900 detective stories. And, they're free at the estore.

Adriana, I know several people who are happy with their Sony ereaders. You can visit this forum to read reviews about the model you're interested in, as well as other ereaders currently on the market. Let us know when you get yours!
