All of us that deal with depression and/or bipolar issues do things to get the effects off of the mind. I have been writing and I feel that when I write about what I am feeling it helps acknowledge it instead of ignore it entirely. For those that dare to expose themselves to what they are feeling, what do you do to keep your mind from sinking into the quicksand?
I personally write poetry, daydream while listening to music, or find something that can help me disappear from reality for a few hours.
