Atheist in D-town. I have yet to come across other atheists in this city or it's surrounding areas. Wattsup with the lack of lackof faith? It gets extremely frustrating and lonely amongst these here bible thumpers.

I’m really ticked off now…..BIG TIME!

Last night I expected all the “rapture”  yahoo’s to be gone.  All I expected to find was a bunch

of clothes, empty house, apartments, mobile homes and the like.  Cars just left on the street with the keys in them.

I had planned to go out looting. I was gonna clean up with the cash they left behind, their valuables, jewels, precious metals, silverware, electronics and the such.

I even had a SHOPPING LIST!

And I had a list of things my friends wanted…..  Of course, there were some prescription meds certain friends wanted me to get for them…. And some things that weren’t prescription as well….

It only goes to show you, you can’t trust these “rapture” clowns….

Sigh……..back to clipping coupons….

DART is talking about reducing train frequency at rush hour & outsourcing the bus routes w/less peeps. They wonder why they don't make enough money, then they offer less services, which cause less ppl to find them dependable, so then they make even less money. We can't do anything about this. I just felt like venting. OK I'll shut up. Hi fellow Dallasites!

Camp Quest Texas is a residential summer camp for the children of Freethinkers. We are dedicated to the promotion of critical thinking, the scientific method, ethics derived from human experience and the separation of church and state as protected by the US Constitution, in our children. Camp Quest Texas will provide our children with a place where they will feel welcome, safe and secure. Camp Quest Texas will reinforce the vales we all hold as dear. Camp Quest Texas needs your support to become a reality! Please RSVP today and be a part of the historic creation of Camp Quest Texas.

In addition to supporting Camp Quest Texas you will have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction (including Cowboys v Chargers tickets and a book autographed by Penn Jillette!) and ‘balloon raffle’ for other great services/events while enjoying authentic Mediterranean cuisine and being entertained by a belly dancer. A generous family style dinner prepared by Al-Amir’s chef is included in the cost of the event. Al-Amir will donate ten percent of all food and beverage sales from our benefit to Camp Quest Texas, so show your support the way a Freethinker would-with your heart and soul stomach!

I'm surprised there aren't more Dallas atheists on here. I'd like to meet "ya'll" I organize Freethinkers of Dallas, co-organize FreeThinkers of Fort Worth and attend North Texas Church of Freethought. Remember that billboard that got the news people stirring for a bit, that was organized by Metroplex atheists (also on meetup). There are also some other great atheist/bright groups on meetup.com.

You can get to most of the active DFW atheist social groups through member organizations link on the billboard site --->http://www.dfwcor.org/orgs.html
