We have a spiffy tea house here in Annapolis, MD called Reynold's Tavern. They serve lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. I love going there when I get the chance. You should check out their website; maybe it'll give you ideas. :)

Hey Jean Marie... It's true, I'm sorry to admit that life has overwhelmed my time available to hang out with all of you, but once things settle down some, I do plan on getting back on track.

Call me a traitor, but I'm seriously thinking of opening a British style tea shop here in Ithaca. They have an abundance of local coffee houses, so I thought a sweet tea shop, serving breakfast and lunch only might be a novelty. I'd serve homemade scones, soups, salads, and of course tea finger sandwiches. Heavenly desserts, and pots of tea served with dainty cups and saucers. Saw the perfect place to rent that is unoccupied and I'm going to look into it more tomorrow. Maybe it will just end up being a 'pipe-dream,' but I'm seriously playing with the idea. Any suggestions or ideas you might like to offer on this project of mine is welcome. Need to brainstorm how to pull this idea off.

Thank you Adriana... Sorry that I've not been as active lately on T/A, but real life dictates my time at the moment. I miss checking in and hanging around with everyone, but I shall return!

This is an interesting prediction from Arthur C. Clark that he made in 1964. As far fetched as it seemed back then, it is exactly what we are all doing right now, right here....

Thank you for the birthday wishes Jean Marie.... My wish is that I can skip to counting my age every other year, or could count down to around age 40 and hover around that age for a bit. I seriously don't recognize myself in the mirror anymore, it's not the person I remember. The only thing I do look forward to is when my hair turns completely white I plan to dye it brilliant rainbow colors! But I will happily wait for that little bit of

Good morning to all, on my second cup since I was up early today continuing the unending job of unpacking. The kitchen in the apartment I just moved from had about 5' by 3' of floor space, barely enough room to swivel around for one person. My new kitchen, although not large enough for a table has tremendous cabinet space and a pantry to boot. I'm still in the process of unpacking items for my kitchen and I'm running out of space!!! How is that possible? How did I manage to pile in all this stuff in my teeny-tiny apartment kitchen and now find I've nearly run out of space in my much more spacious kitchen? hahaha- I'm amazed! Sorry for this banal small talk, but my mind is occupied with logistics.... There must be a mathematical explanation for this space problem but the reality is bewildering.

Hi Jean Marie and all my fellow caffeine junkies... It's been a harrowing and exhausting week, but I made it out alive and well, if not well rested. My new home is starting to take shape, but the unpacking goes slowly. Ithaca is as beautiful as ever, but other than a few darts in and out to grab some food and supplies, I've been holed up in my pretty new home. Deer hang out in my backyard eating the crab apples off the ground. What a strange and wonderful sight to see! My little dog didn't know what to make of them, and barks as though they are just an extra large dogs...hehehe Today, he kept quiet as they stared at one another from either side of the sliding glass doors. I can hardly believe my eyes when they skip over the 5 foot fence....

A Man, A Plan And A Sharpie: 'The Great Typo Hunt'

Incensed by a "no tresspassing" sign, Jeff Deck launched a cross-country trip to right grammatical wrongs.

He enlisted a friend, Benjamin D. Herson, and together they got to work erasing errant quotation marks, rectifying misspellings and cutting unnecessary possessive apostrophes.

The Great Typo Hunt is the story of their crusade.
