re: Atheists on the south side... I am an open, honest Atheist and do not hesitate to state my freedom in polite company, as long as I am not working, because no form of religion or non-religion belongs in the workplace.

I have pointed out to some coworkers my Atheism, and most have been fine with it. Only one or two who like to talk a lot seem to question how I could possibly NOT believe in The Bible, the Saints, the Catholic Pope, and the Priests. Oh and also that fella named Jesus (we have several Jesus' in our company's employ) and God.

I just tell them my truth and leave it at that. Let them stew in their fanatical resentment, as long as we work together with no distractions, I am fine.

I live in Naperville and will be performing in a musical on Aug 30-Sept 2 at TOTH (Theater on the Hill) in Bolingbrook. I am an Atheist and there are many Atheistic themes in the Musical Play ZENOBIA.

It is a fun performance with great music, dancing, drama, and epic fight scenes, an awesome chance for me to release some frustrations on one of the lead actors, who I beat to a bloody pulp (he sells it so well too)...

Tickets are $15 and the shows start around 7:30-8:00.Zenobia Official Site

So, are there any out of the closet atheist on the south side?

Alright, well why not just message me with some times and days that work, and we'll see where a good place to meet might be. I'm actually south west of the city by a good 50 miles, but that's OK. I love visiting Chicago!

I would be interested in getting a group together--I live on the north side of the city.

Count me in Mallory. I need new friends, especially atheists. I am often in the loop, I live in Oak Park 15 minutes from the loop. I hang out at the Art Institute a lot as well.

If anyone wants to get together and hang out, please let me know! I'm back in the city and could really use some new friends. :)

I don't live in Chicago, but it's one of my favorite places on earth and I'm having my first show there next week. Love to have some fellow atheists show up. It's at the Howard Finster Vision House, Chicago. Oh, I'm showing paintings, not dancing or anything.

Hey Chicago Atheists! I'm Carl and I just joined Think Atheist and this group. So what's on the mind of fellow Windy City atheists?

Brother Sam'll be coming through Chicago one of these days. And when he does, look out.
