As Richard Dawkins once said of Sagan, Carl was incapable of composing a dull sentence. How true!
After leaving the Catholic religion in my teens, I began to dabble in astrology, pyramid power and other sources of flim-flam.
Then I saw Cosmos on PBS and Dr. Sagan literally saved me from drowning in an ocean bamboozle and clap trap.
I started reading everything I could find that he penned.
The question that rolls around my head is: Can there be anyone that could come close to replacing him?
Neil DeGrasse Tyson is an excellent popularizer of science, but another Carl Sagan he is not.
Thanks for letting me join the group!

I only wish I were young enough to have followed him during his lifetime, but I didn't even discover him until well into my adult life.
