Hey, Misty!  You're right, that's why they call it weed!  And it will grow very quickly doing just what you're doing naturally, including the fish emulsion, 8 hours of sun, and loving them as you do!  Watch them for tiny (at first), little caterpillars who have come for lunch.  You'll know when it's time to harvest, usually because the bud branches become too heavy to sustain the plant!  It's Nature performing just for you!  You're doing just Great!  Keep up the good work!

Gotcha. I actually think carting them around the yard was getting a bit stressful for them. Since I don't have any clue what strain or variety they will be, I dunno if it will even be possible in a few months. The seeds came from a mega-mix bag. I'm thinking it's something purple, though. There was at least one plant in there that got to be REALLY big, according tho the grower. Huh. Which just made me realize that since it was a mix bag, those could be two totally different girls. Both sativa hybrids for sure, though. One IS bigger than the other...huh.

Anyway, I've decided to give them the prime location on my balcony and just keep them up there. It gets light from about on. Up high, so nice long sunset if they like gentle light. (I know. I'm SUCH a plant nerd. It's sorta sad.) 

My mate at work told me that you had to kill the plant to harvest. Usually this is done by hanging it upside-down to dry so the resin runs back into the plant instead of down into the roots. 

I was like..no way man. I'm not killing my plants and hanging their carcasses in my garage like a fucking deer. 

(Though to be perfectly honest, I have no issue hanging an actual deer carcass in my garage like..a..deer. But that's because the deer was something I killed in the wild, not something I've tended and grown and taken care of. It's a trust issue. Don't judge me. :) )

But if they are going to die anyway, then that's ok. I can handle that. I'm still coming to grips with the simple fact that my lifespan is going to be longer than some of the things I care for. As long as I do my best to provide them a happy, healthy life for the time they ARE here, I should honor them and respect the purpose they serve. I will also be very grateful for all the wonderful things they provide me through that purpose. I will raise a puff in thanks for that. Fair play.
