I was 50 lbs overweight at one time. I was 22 and didn't recognize that I was fat until I saw a picture of myself. I saw that big fat gut hanging out there and decided to change it. Six months later or so I was 50 lbs lighter, accomplished by sweat and a change in what I ate. No more discussions about what type of corn dogs taste better.
This video of a man losing 120 lbs after having lost his self-respect, girlfriend, and control of his life is inspiring. He ran until eventually it became a family thing with his father and brother. His destination started with being tired of being overweight. His journey took him to a new and better life.
Running is about more than a healthy heart, it's about a healthy life. I hope that you enjoy the vid as much as I did. I'll put it in the first comment.
Please, cross post it. I'm not a member of that group. I've posted in a few recently, but I try to stay out of the groups. It's too many things to keep track of for me. But grab it and put in your own text.
Turkey trot... nice. I love running with the dog too. He has to poop and pee which means I get to stop, but he pushes the pace while we run.
